Ori is a Tel Aviv born- Berlin based saxophone player and a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music for his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (Magna Cum Laude), both on a full tuition scholarship for outstanding jazz performance. During his Master’s in the Global Jazz Institute for jazz studies at Berklee, he studied closely with Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, George Garzone, Dave Liebman, Ben Street, Terri Lyne Carrington and Simon Shaheen and his Master’s Thesis work for “Bridging the worlds of Arabic and Jazz music” was well recognized by the committee led by Danilo Perez which awarded him a Magna Cum Laude.
His project was released as his debut album titled “Fading Bridges”.

After finishing his studies in Boston, Ori moved to New York where he performed with some of the top young musicians of today’s jazz scene and in the historically acclaimed clubs: Smalls, Mezzrow, Fat Cat, Smoke, Minton’s, Beacon Theater and Cell Theater among others.

As a sideman, Ori has performed alongside Esperanza Spalding (4 times Grammy winner), Luis Bonilla Quintet, Anat Cohen, Moses Sumney, Ambrose Akinmusire, Stefon Harris and JM Jazz Orchestra to name a few.
In addition, he had played on some of the most world renowned music stages such as Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Tri-C Jazz Festival, Beacon Theater, Berklee Performance Center and Agganis Arena.

Ori has recently moved to Berlin to continue his career as a leader and sideman and already made a name for himself in the local music scene working for Abase, Moses Sumney and touring in Europe with the Luis Bonilla Quintet.
